Cruise control switch part number

Hey Guys,



I need a new cruise control switch for my 05, however when I look up the the part number (sw5942), the pic looks wrong. The Motorcraft site and the RockAuto site says SW5942, but it looks like its for the newer style Explorers. If I look at one from an '02 which is part number SW5928, that looks to be the correct one. Anyone run into this?

I was looking around in Amazon.com last night.

They have a feature where you can put in a vehicle and it brings up all the stuff they stock for that particular vehicle.

I put in my 02 Trac and it came up with thousands of replacement parts and accessories.

I just went there and found this:

The Ford long number is 1L1Z9F924AA. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone - I think that the SW5928 looks right, but every site i go to does not list an 2005 ST under its application. I just wondered if anyone with an 05 had this problem. I just don't want to order the wrong one.

You should be OK. They didn't change the cruise switches at all between 2001-2005.
