Check your Spring Shackles!

Started hearing a pop in my rear end...
Took a look and my Leaf Spring Shackles are rusted bad.
Was a PITA to get the old bolts out thank God for the air hammer!

Anyway go take a look at yours... don't want them to fail while driving!
Mine were

close to failing. Once removed twisted like aluminum foil lol.

Good post, I replaced mine a fewyears ago. OEM ones were completely rusted out.

Do a search there were some posts, from the old website, Not sure if they got trasdfered to this new site.
You can use BOTLLE TYPE JACK, to hold the rear of the spring in place. Between the spring and the frame.
I havent done this on my trac. But it worked on some of my other leaf spring cars,

I was thinking about doing these 2" lift shackles but do to the severity of my current shackles I picked up the doorman replacements from Advance in stock.

I May still when I have some extra scratch!
