I need some opinion on buying a new battery for my ST ..like what amps Etc

If you are not running any extra electrics, go with what the trac rating came with. Buy a good brand. Wallmart batteries in houston area suck.
Also you might consider buying the batterry addititive that JC Whitney sells. My brother and myself have used it for over ten years. Yes, it does work, stops sufation between plates. Every battery we have put it in has lasted 1 to 2 years past there long term warranty. Five year batteries, we got 6 to 6 1/2, etc, etc..
Edit; Before the additive, we were lucky to get 3yrs out of 5yr battery, here in this houston heat.

Eddie, The Optima Red Top is the one to choose for better starting. Use the Yellow Top if you are running extra electronics.
