I was just about to say the same. The 07/08 system used a dvd for navigation information while the 09/10 are hard drive based. Easiest way to tell is how the the screen looks. The picture is of the older system with gray/white. The newer is full color. It’s not impossible to upgrade, just a ton of research and wiring. I had a 2008 Expedition that I contemplated upgrading until I got deeper into the research and decided it was too much work, but yes it’s been done. IMO it would be easier to change the unit to aftermarket. I had an 07 Trac that I installed a Pioneer or Clarion(can’t remember) unit in with navigation and it worked great. I even had it wired to an oem steering wheel control. No voice input etc, but it probably accepted a camera too. I only had it two years but one of the first things I wanted in my 2010 was a camera, thus the Lockpic. My camera is wireless, so getting the wiring from back to front was eliminated. FYI the 08 Fords had the camera in the rear view mirror, 09 on had it in the head unit. Way bigger image.
