[QUOTE="rob bassett, post: 835627, member: 66107"] well it did it again. decided to turn it on and off on a recent wet day to test it, and it worked once, then not again. (4wd engaged, then correctly disengaged, then wouldn't go back into 4wd later) tried again later that same day, same thing. worked ok first time, but not again. so i'm thinking the cold isn't the issue now, but something else. methinks a trip to the dealer is in the future. (i know i know, but usual guy doesn't do the special stuff like 4wd, electronics, etc) so to recap, when it works, the module clicks and the lights light up properly. when it doesn't work, there's no click and no light, so it never goes into the selected mode. where to start? motor or module? also, the truck is just about due for a new battery. starts ok, but much less oomph than usual. several people on this and other threads suggested that electrical modifications/problems can cause funny things with the 4wd module. would a near-failing battery be a possible cause?
