Still driving my 2007 ST and still loving this truck. Just passed 178k this weekend.

When I bought wheels/rims I went with 17" to increase the sidewall as well as options for tires. I went with Metal Motos, sorry but don't remember the offset offhand.

My drivers seat switch is slowly going, so I'll be interested in how this works out for you and if its an easy swap out.

Sounds like all of the big stuff has been done, and for that money, even if you only get another few years out of it, you're still ahead of the game.

When I upgraded my wheels, including with new TPMS sensors, I had to bring it to a tire place, (Firestone) and have them reprogram the computer to read the new sensors. It was short money and didn't take very long, well worth it in my opinion.

Well, it turns out in this case it is indeed the ball joints, which I have not replaced, and not the wheel bearing/hub assemblies, which I have replaced. Chunk of change, but I still like this truck more than 90% of what's out there in my price range, so the work will get done.

I've gone with a different mechanic since then, so I'll have them take a look around when they get it up on lift.

Does this have the 6 or the 8 cyl. in it? And does it need any major work to get a sticker?

So, went for inspection sticker yesterday, and wouldn't you know it, passenger side hub assembly needs to be replaced, again. This will be the third time in a truck I have only put about 60K on over the last few years. It should be illegal to build crap that consistently does not hold up to...

Have you found a camper top that will fit? Most, if not all, will be too long for the little short bed in our STs.

Have you seen the price of used cars today? I would argue that's a totally fair price in today's market. Try getting a similarly aged Yota for anywhere near that price.

They do indeed wear out quickly on these trucks. That price sounds about right for both sides. And can't go wrong with Ford ball joints, just don't use cheapies or you'll be replacing them again sooner than you want.

Couldn't tell you as I've had my mechanic do the job, twice. Make sure you use the best bearings you can find, these trucks eat them up.

Well, if anyone else runs into this issue, in my case the CEL was intermittent and seemed to come on when highway driving, but if staying local it would eventually go off, so it seemed safe enough to drive one. Apparently I was right, no issues and now with new plugs, boots and a replaced...

I just got my check engine light read and got the P0302 code, called my mechanic and the earliest he can get me in is May 18th. I only have a 1+ mile commute, so I don't need to drive much, but I do need to drive over the next couple of weeks. Am I going to cause undue damage, or just take it...

I got a new starter last week and this past Friday installed a bored out throttle body from Zabtek. I want to get through a tank of gas and then plan on doing a little review, but will say for now that I'm happy with the results so far.

My battery issue was indeed a dead starter. Fixed now.:)

Tried that, to no avail, and there is no play in the shifter linkage.
