Max A/C recirculation door not functioning

That's okay Eddie. I appreciate your help thus far. Completely understandable. If you can find it great! But I will definitely message him and see if he knows

Max A/C recirculation door not functioning

Thanks Eddie. I had the problem before and after changing the coil, plugs and wires so I wrote that off as being a potential culprit. I really thought that's what it would've been. About the octane... I figured as much. I think the shell v power with no ethanol is pretty good stuff. I can't...

Max A/C recirculation door not functioning

I could try that but unsure of how it will affect Torrie's 91 torque tune that I run

After 7 years the ST project is complete

I got the B&M diff cover. It isn't specifically listed for a Sport Trac but it does work with the 8.8 so I gave it a shot. The only thing I had to do was cut off the heat shield from the spare tire. I didn't really care. Call it a weight reduction mod. That was just to get the cover on without...

Max A/C recirculation door not functioning

Okay. That would be very helpful. I posted on the facebook group and didn't get much help. I wasn't sure how active the forum is anymore but I know this is where the real knowledge is. Thank you so much Eddie. I scoured the forums last night before I slept and found a couple things about the vcv...

Max A/C recirculation door not functioning

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been on here. I have an issue I was really hoping someone could help me with. 05 Sport Trac Recently my Max A/C stopped working. All fan speeds work, all vent positions work. I diagnosed it far enough to know that the recirculation door isn't opening all...

After 7 years the ST project is complete

No it certainly did it's job. The ebay radiator does it's job well. No leaks so far and it's been years now. Despite it being from China, I would say it's quality. My only gripe is that it still has a plastic drain cock, with a shitty o-ring that I have to replace every time I drain it. You're...

    Nice to know what

Thank you! Black is definitely the best colour I could have found to make it look half decent. I got lucky, I found one that was fully painted, so if I ever do get it painted it'd be better than the textured lower. I've had the roof rack deleted since probably a year after I got it. I knew I...

    Nice to know what

Hey Eddie, it's Phil. I hope you are doing well. I would like to say first that I really appreciate the help everyone has given me on this forum. When I first got this truck 9 years ago I knew nothing about cars. All the help from members, researching old posts and the projects section helped me...

    Looking for tire recommendations

I have 255/50r20 Michelin Premier LTX on mine. I opted for these because they're supposed to be better in rain than the LTX M/S, as they aren't meant to perform in snow. I have separate snow tires. I've had them on since April and so far they seem great. Full traction even in the rain. The...

    Lowering Parts/Kits for 2005 XLT 2WD

My truck is lowered 2-2.5 in front and 3 in the rear. Explorer Express sold a kit and I also got some torsion keys from Illusive Fabrications. This was all years ago. You will need lowering blocks and new U bolts for the rear. Personally wouldn't go any more than 3 inches. It doesn't leave much...

    EE sway bar bushings

Yeah I think they are out of business. No response to email, phone line dead. It's too bad really, they could have been making mods for the newer Ex's as there are plenty of them on the road. Todd, I had originally purchased Energy Suspension 9.5164R. Sadly the bracket was too small for the...

    EE sway bar bushings

Interesting. I'll have to check that out. I did try to call them twice yesterday. It just beeped as if the number is dead. I also emailed them. I'm starting to wonder if EE is defunct.

    EE sway bar bushings

Okay thanks Eddie. I did consider doing that way back but I guess never got around to it. Had I, they probably wouldn't be shot right now because the fronts which are greasable have no play. I guess what I really wanted to know is what is the part number for the bushings themselves. I've...

    EE sway bar bushings

It's been about 6 years since I installed the EE rear sway bar on my 05 Trac. The bushings for the 1 1/8" bar are shot. I need to order new ones and I was hoping it was possible to find greasable bushings. Has anyone ever replaced these and knows a part number? Or should I just see if explorer...

    Parking Brake Light Staying On

I second what Todd said. As the brakes wear down, more fluid is required to depress the caliper. Once the fluid gets too low in the master cylinder reservoir the parking brake light will illuminate. Low fluid could simply mean it's time for a brake job. Check them out

    Alternator replacement

Thanks Eddie I thought so. Figured I'd see what you guys thought. So far with the 55w xenon headlights, 35w fogs, full heat and sound system going it idles at 14v again. That's all I could have hoped for. Rockauto is a great place. Sometimes I get dinged with customs charges but it's usually...
