Degrees of separation are getting slimmer now. LOL

Being in southern GA, the only time I've seen the Confederate flag flown is down the interstate from me where the Sons of the Confederacy meet and once when I was in Pittsburgh flying off the back of a pickup. The whole thing is a distraction. Nobody really flies the flag.

I think someone just attached Letterman's name to it because it's in his style. I didn't read it as if Letterman or even his writers had written it. Letterman is quite liberal and for him to have written this would be really out of character anyway.

Seems like a weird place for someone like him to show up, but the description is spot on.
