Thanks for the input. I had an 07 which I loved, but it would have needed new exhaust manifold bolts on both side. (2k + to repair) I traded it in for a new 2010 Frontier, which is great also, but I want to lower the payments. That's why I'm looking at the Gen 1's.

I'm thinking of buying an 05 xlt. What are some of the common issues that I should look out for? Thanks!

This is a pretty easy fix. I got the part for my 07 on Ebay for $100 and it only took about 1 hour to swap.

If you are looking at a v8, check the exhaust manifold studs. They often break and are very expensive to fix.

If you are still under warranty, get it fixed asap. Make sure they check for broken studs on both sides. I was quoted $1200 to fix 1 side. The diameter of the bolts is so small it's ridiculous.
