Yeah, I had the exact same deal... both back doors would not open from the inside, and the interior handles stuck out at an angle. On my doors, it was the rods. Let me go out side and dig through my glovebox for the service receipt to see what's listed... BRB... ;)

Get the valvebody replacement service Todd described, from a good independent shop you can trust (do some research if possible). It's $400-600 well spent. Had mine done two years ago this month after weeks of a 2-3 flare and a one-time O/D light incident (on the way to get the service done!)...

mike - CT, I tried the "let sit for 10 seconds" thing you recommended. Didn't do anything for my ST. I forgot to add something... it does the hard surge only after sitting for some time. For example, if I go to the store (or anywhere for that matter) and am parked for a few hours or less...
