Be sure the AC is turned to OFF to see if your compressor is causing any issue, otherwise, I would suspect the tensioner is not pulling the new belt tight enough. (With the new belt, the tensioner is not in the same position)

The AC Compressor runs in the winter too, Helps to remove moisture from the vehicle. Fogged up windows, etc.. While you can still do this without the AC, it works much faster with it. And if you are in bad weather, that extra time or ability may be the difference. Just throwing that out there..

My opinion, buy whichever one is the "new" pump. The remanufactured ones dont hold up as well.

I had an ARE cap with the pop out windows.. Try cleaning the rubber seals carefully, then apply some armour-all or other protectant. I have found this can "refresh" and even slightly expand the seals which will help with slight leaks. Worked on mine.

Time to get the in das NAV unit.. Pioneer maybe?

Normally, the O/D light will flash if there is a code set.

Are you speaking of the actuator motor on the transfer case? If so, VERY easy swap. I believe it was 3 bolts and the wire harness. Be sure the wire harness connector is very securely fastened to keep moisture out. If the transfer case is stuck in 4HI or 4LO, then you will need to connect...

Does the 03 have the timing chain tensioner issues that the 01's had? Could it be timing chain rattle? (I heard mine on hard accel like you describe, and that was the issue)

Curt, Turn the OD off, and identically repeat your test. It sounds like the torque converter is not coming out of lockup. (At 40 mph it should be in lockup) Could be a sticky valve in the tranny.

Jose, :welcome: Did you intend to post TWENTY FOUR miles? Or 24,000 miles? As for the noise, I agree with Todd. You can take the blet off (When cold) and run it for about a minute to see if the rattle is still there. If no rattle, then something the belt touches.

If its on a straight part of the steel line, then you can cut it and install a union / flare joint. (You need about 1 inch on either side of the pinhole to work with.)
