    Premature bearing failure

How would I torque the axle nut with the truck in the air? Is there a way to lock down the hub so it doesn’t spin when doing so? Also, I never use air tools when I work on the trac, except to take off the lug nuts!

    Premature bearing failure

I’ve always torqued to 185 ft lbs! I’m just curious if bad cv axles could cause it. I just replaced both sides this past week. As well as both tie rod ends as the boots were pretty wasted. Also noticed that my lower control arm bushings are looking pretty bad. I’ll probably just replace both...

    Premature bearing failure

These ones are SKF! I’ve had Timkin bearings fail in under 2 years too.

    Premature bearing failure

hey guys, what would be causing premature whelp hub failure? My front right is out again after I just replaced it probably 4 months ago. I seem to go through hubs a LOT on the trac, like every 2-3 years. trying to narrow down why. Thanks!

    Engine temp guage

Hey guys, I'm having an issue with my engine temp gauge. The gauge is normally at the halfway point, but lately it stays low, like no more than a quarter way. There doesn't seem to be a problem with heat, it still blows out nice and hot. What could this be? Thanks in advance!

    Steering in 4 wheel drive

Hey guys, when I'm in 4 wheel drive (high), my steering radius seems to drop about 30%. Like the wheels just won't turn as far as in 2 wheel. Is this normal or not? What should I do to correct it or what needs replaced? I'm driving a 2001 ST. Thanks guys!

    Check engine code P1451

The fuse looks okay. I don't have a meter, maybe I'll get one. Today, my "check fuel cap" light came on. I know that the cap is good, I just replaced it a few months ago.

    Check engine code P1451

Hi guys... Have any of you gotten this Check engine code? P1451 Evap system canister vent solenoid circuit malfunction. From my searches so far it seems to be an electrical issue. I searched and could not find any frayed wires or anything. I did recently change the radio from the stock...

    Front Driveshaft CV joint replacement

Go to the "projects" section on the left of the screen. Then go to "maintenance". There is a project there you can follow to replace your half axle (cv joint).

    need new transfer case

Todd, I REALLY wish you'd made a project for the rebuild! I think mine may be going out too and I'd like to rebuild it. I remember you had a thread on it, maybe you could post the link or make a project?

    need opinions on tonneau covers

I have a velcro cover on mine. Had it for about 10 years now and it's held up great! I did replace the velcro about 3 years ago. I can't see myself ever going with any other type of cover!

    Engine stumbling on mild acceleration

The spark plugs are fairly easy to change with the right tools and a little patience. DEFINITELY remove the passenger tire and splash guard to get to the ones in the rear of the engine. You may be able to access the driver side plugs easier that way too, but I got all of mine from up top. Get...

    Window Guide

Thanks! Mine hasn't been sealing lately. Driver side, rear part of the window, just as shown in your pics. Going to try that..... maybe in the spring when it's not 12 degrees outside lol.

    wiper arm loose

I replaced both of mine last year. They just were not holding the blade tight to the glass anymore. I can't remember if I got them from Amazon, Rockauto, or Autopartswarehouse. If I remember correctly, it's a different part then whats listed.

    Upper control arm bushings

The arm I'm referring to is the passenger side. I have the two piece configuration. I did replace both uppers with ball joints 2 years ago. To my knowledge, the two piece uppers come separately as I didn't see one with the bushing end included and I don't recall replacing it when I did them last...

    Upper control arm bushings

Has anyone replaced their upper control arm bushings? My passenger sides are shot. The arm is actually moving in and out! I'll probably go with the Moog replacements. My question is, is there a sleeve that needs replaced along with the rubber bushing? Will I need a press to install the new ones...
