Hello all. I noticed a leak this morning coming from around the front of the driveshaft. Didn't get in there to investigate it a whole lot before my wife had to drive it off to work. But I did manage to snap a quick cell phone pic. Anyone seen this? It's a 2001 4x2. [Broken External Image]:

Hey all, I found it. After much searching I found a mysterious hole in the link arm of the shifter under the dash. I tried it and it made since that it should go there. Tried it, fixed it :cool:. [Broken External Image]:

She said she put my 01 ST (auto trans) in drive and this screw hit her foot. After that she couldn't put it park and the shifter moves pretty freely from D to N to 1, but won't go to P. Sounds like it's some sort of link to be able to pull back on the shifter. Please someone identify this thing...

Dave, That's why I thought of the bearings. When the brake is appiled it holds the wheel more. Al Joe, Just replaced the links and the sway bar bushings last year. Fixed a major rattle in the front end. Thanks

$30 seams kinda high. RockAuto.com has some Moogs for $12.34. I went to a local auto store and picked some nice ones up for $15 each.

Chris Where'd you get that? Would it be bright enough to light up the front end of a boat when backing? Thanks

My 01 gets around 15 or 16, I think. It's hard to calculate accuratly because the gas tank is hard to fill completely. The last few gallons have to trickle in. The needle drops off of full after about 20 miles or so. Therefore if I thought my tank was full, I would think my gas is going very fast.
