I had a weld shop here in town weld it in for me. I did all the prep work, cutting out the old, and fitting the new 2" receiver blank (that can be bought on Amazon for about $12). He charged me $80. Painted it up when I got home and put my bumper cover back on.

My v8 STA tip stays pretty clean, I polish it maybe 2x a year. I have more of a problem with tar spots sticking to it.

thats low miles, it should have more then 2x that at its age, and a good price. my 08STA can be locked in 4wd via the buttons and the info screen.

Mine was from Canada, bought from a dealership in Buffalo. I have not changed my speedo, we just got used to it, really no big deal 60 KMH = 37 MPH and 120 KMH = 74MPH Mine had a block heater from the factory, kinda nice when we get those real cold winter nights in Cleveland.

The locking 4wd is done thru the info/reset buttons and the digital readout/info center in the dash board.

I have driven my LTZ400 quad into the bed of my 01 ST multiple times when I had it. That weighed 400lbs plus me (another 160lbs), never a problem.

Got this done today. Biggest problem is breaking that pinion nut loose. You need to use a breaker bar with a pipe on it, having it jacked up high and laying on your back doesn't give a lot of swinging room. (lift would be nice here) And when you start torquing on the nut it causes the axle...

I thought I read something somewhere about the manifolds warping which leads to undo stress on the studs leading to breaking studs. I will be doing more research seeing how mine of coarse is missing a couple studs.

Whats the problem with just letting them leak? Do you need to replace the manifolds or can they be resurfaced?

Does anyone know if the rear pinion seal can be changed by just removing the drive shaft and the mounting flange? I did it this way on my 01 and I've seen videos on youtube of other pinion seals being changed this way. I'm just curious if this differential is different due to the independent...
