    Power Windo switch

Sending this from work so I gotta keep it short I had a Drivers door power window switch that failed on my 02 Trac have located one from an auto wrecker about an hour away from an 04, wrecker says his records indicate the switch should fit as the Trac has not changed from 01-05. I agree...

    Window won't go up.

Tom The only way to confirm is to remove the panel and test the circuit with a volt meter at the motor as Coastie has pointed out, and go from there. While I had the panel off I also applied voltage directly to the motor, in my case the window rolled up, confirming motor was OK.

    Window won't go up.

Thanks Coastie... that is exactly what I had eventually done. Got 12 v on the down side and 0v on the up. Took a 9.6 volt Nicad battery out of my son's Remote Controll car and that was enough to get it rolled up till I can get a new switch. gonna put the panel back on and take the boy out...

    Window won't go up.

Thanks Martin Is very much looking like the motor. Have taken apart the switch, cleanded and even tried different contact cam in the driver position. With the panel off I can just hear the motor click and it is very warm to the touch. Would like to take the motor out so I can at least...

    Odd new sound at shutdown

Thanks for the reply Fast Eddie. I was thinking the same thing and back tracked as far as putting the silencer back into the air box... but I had already tossed out the old paper filter, did not notice a big difference. I do find it strange however that I was not able to to find a...

    Odd new sound at shutdown

It was time for an air filter replacement, so I figured while I was at it I would remove the air intake silencer, and try a K&N drop in. All went well, however I notice now when turning the engine off there is an odd new sound that was not present in the past. Sounds like a tennis ball being...

    Seat Belts

Got a closer look at the back seat of an 04 Trac today I see there is a latch and striker on the 60 side that appears to lock the seat to the back of the cab when the seat is up. I was not able to get a good look behind the rear panel to see how the latch was fastened as the salesman at the...

    Seat Belts

I purchased a used 2002 4x4, production date of 02/02 with the grey cloth interior, five months ago. Great truck so far… 48000 miles, original tires and serviced well… great shape. The only thing I am disappointed in is that there is no shoulder harness in the rear center seat...
