    New Sony Head Units

Sony just came out with two new wireless Android Auto units that I am looking at to replace the factory stereo in my Gen2 Job 2 Beauty. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_158XAV4000/Sony-XAV-AX4000.html This 4000 is the first one out, uses resistive touch and has 2V pre-amp. The 6000 that comes...

78k miles and need a new radiator

Vic, you got it right. I picked up the rig tonight and he showed me the radiator, I had no idea there was so much damn plastic. Thank you EPA and your fuel regs, requiring lighter vehicles. The top piece had come loose, breaking the seam/seal where the plastic meets the metal. I went with...

78k miles and need a new radiator

Thanks Mark! I wondered why the cap wouldn't have blown if it did over pressurize. They told me the ford radiator is crazy expensive so I said go with the third party one. Plus if it broke at 77 I'm not too happy with the durability. They are doing new hoses and thermostat too

78k miles and need a new radiator

Went and had my brakes done and they told me I had a coolant leak that was slow and to keep an eye on it. Two days later I check and my rig has a puddle underneath and it's hemmoraging coolant with non in the reservoir. I've taken it to the dealer and they said I need a new radiator and they are...

    Tonneau Cover Middle Pins

So my middle pins on the tonneau cover have sheered off after a lot of taking it on and off. Has anyone replaced those? Do I have to replace the whole middle hinge assembly? Thanks in advance for any tips!

    Siphoned?

So I forgot to post back but it was a paper wasp nest in the plastic elbow valve of the vent line (its zip tied to the fuel neck in the right wheel well). Cleaned it out, and went to the gas station and got a full tank! Thanks everyone!

    Siphoned?

Thank you all. I am going to try this over the weekend. Eddie I did try Texaco as well. Same thing. And since us Oregonians are too stupid to pump our own gas I cant change the flow or try anything different. I've had the Trac now for 7 years and never had this problem. I found a...

    Siphoned?

Wow Vic. That is a crazy video. Is the evap vent valve easy to get to on the Trac? I don't have access to a hoist. Does the fuel system need to be depressurized?

    Siphoned?

Hey all! I have a 07 ST and a couple weeks ago I thought I had more gas then my tank gauge showed, and I was worried at the time I was siphoned. I went to get gas in my truck two weeks ago and the pump kept clicking off but I was only getting 10 gal so the attendant manually did it (live in OR)...

    Max Weight in Bed

This is what she looked like last night. Not looking that low today, but still seems low to me. I've got the biggest tires Les Schwab would let me put on that so they aren't the stock michelins. [Broken External Image]:

    Max Weight in Bed

What's the max weight that you can have in the bed of the 07 ST v8, 4x4? I hauled 700 lbs of concrete and about a hundred lbs of fence boards and after unloading it still looks like I am sitting low in the back. Did I screw something up??

EDIT: INFO ONE OF THE SADIST DAYS OF MY LIFE.. THE LAST Sport Trac Has been built !!! PLZ READ !!

I was really really hoping Ford would have done a 3rd gen and built it a little taller, and offer stock over 300hp..... but now I just hope they bring it back. Mine is about to turn 5 here soon (good news being it will be paid off :-)) but its already been well loved. I figured I would be ready...

    Oil Filter Questions

So I installed my first Mobil 1 Oil filter about 4 months ago/5k miles. I was using Motorcraft and replacing the filter every 5k and full oil swap at 10k (mobil 1 syn). The Mobil 1 filter is supposed to be extended performance... so can I get to 10k on it? Or should I go ahead and swap it...

    Mobil 1 or Motorcraft Filter

I appreciate all the input. I did put the Mob 1 filter on and did notice it is thicker, and it seemed to tighten really easily (don't ask me why) So far I am happy with it, but haven't gone offroad with it yet. My trac just got new tires (the biggest Les Schwab could fit), new oil and filter...

    Mobil 1 or Motorcraft Filter

My ST has 50k miles on it, and for its whole time i have been using Motorcraft oil filters and they work just great. Today Autozone had a special buy 5 or more qts of Mobil 1 and get a Mobil 1 filter free. So I couldn't pass that up. I have never used the Mobil 1 Oil Filters.. and was wondering...

    2011 Explorer

I hate that fact... I mean look at the Expedition even. Became "Soccer-Mom'd". The old ones were high and beefy. The new ones sit way too low. Even the Gen2 Trac's could have been made better by raising them an inch or two. Not that I would ever take an Explorer by itself offroad, but I hope...

    2011 Explorer

I have heard rumors there will be no more Tracs, anyone know with this new redesigned explorer if they will still keep the Trac?
