Happy 10th Build Day to my ST!

My ST was built on this day 10 yrs ago! And on the way into the office this AM she rolled over 125,000 miles. 1/8th of the way to the Million Mile club. I figure we'll roll over that in the Spring of 2082! LOL :driving: Hordaine

    a most productive day.

So, today was a pretty good day for maintenance on the ol' ST. Got the air filter and fuel filter changed. As well as an oil change and a wash. I inspected my reverse light indicator switch on the tranny and looked like it had a good connection and was plugged in correctly. But alas...

    new seat installed

Just installed my (new) seat. Out of an '01 Ex Sport. Man, does this make a huge difference. I sit so much higher. I guess the cushion in my old seat was so shot I sunk a few inches. Also, I can recline now! I don't have to hold the seat up with some jimmy rigged system. Now, I just have to get...

    Back up lamp switch

Is there even steering column wiring for a switch on a manual transmission? does it not just go down through the shift lever down into the transmission housing?

    Back up lamp switch

I have an idea of where I can find this switch, but my question is how is it accessed? does the tranny have to be dropped?

    Got a new seat

after poking around a while I found a new seat for the ST. Good thing too, mine is very worn and actually broken at the recline hinge. I have it propped up with a couple pieces of wood resting on the back seat that is in the down position. Can't wait to head up to the salvage yard and pick it up...

    I'm dead.. boo hoo!

Good day MyST.. So, I was driving down the road the other day and I noticed that my ST was kind of chugging a bit. Looked down and saw that all of my gauges were dark.. Traffic slowed and I shifted into 4th. I tried to give her some gas....and nothing. Just died right there. I pulled off...

    Dash lights

If you pull apart your dash to change the lights that are out, make sure you change them all. As it takes about 3 times as long to get to the bulbs as it does to swap em' out. I just put new Sylvania ultra bright bulbs in this past weekend. Wow, what a difference. I almost have to turn down the...

    Joined the 100K Mile Club

As I pulled into the driveway last night, I glanced down and saw that my odometer was straight up 100,000 miles. I figure I'll treat the Trac to a nice washing this weekend and maybe change out the dash lights, as many of then have gone TU on me. [Broken External Image]:

    'Rusty' Parking Brake

So, I left the ST home for a few days over the New Year weekend. I left the parking brake on. (it was pretty rainy and dreary this past weekend) I go to leave for work yesterday morning, and.....I'm all bound up. I have a suspicion that the brake rusted to the drum. Is there any protocol on...
