Sport Trac hauling a somber piece of history

Hi all, I thought there might be some interest here for this story. Notice the "pick-up truck" referenced in the story for carrying a 700 pound piece of the World Trade Center from New York to Winter Garden, FL is, in fact, a lovely Sport Trac (see the picture). Enjoy.

Door Locks stop working when hot

It's not very helpful, I know, but I had the same problem when I owned my 2003 ST. I too live in Florida (Orlando). I never figured it out, so I'm kind of curious what others say.

    Boat logo opinions...

No kidding... I can honestly say that I am not familiar with the NATO logo. I guess we'll be out there protecting fisheries! LOL

    Boat logo opinions...

Thanks everyone. You've pretty much confirmed my initial thoughts. Here's a chop of what I'm thinking... [Broken External Image]: I really appreciate all of the input. Here's to a great spring fishing season! :supercool:

    Boat logo opinions...

Alright guys, we need a little help here. As some of you may recall, we bought a new boat last year, and the time has come to give her a name. We've settled on "Nauti Blue", a play on Nautical Blue. That being said, we'd like some suggestions on the logo. I've played around and keeping coming...

    Sport Trac World Loss

Wow. John was a heck of a guy, and a wealth of knowledge. This is indeed sad news. May he rest in peace. Definitely gone too soon.

    Stopping by to say 'hi'

Thanks, everyone! I sure do miss lurking around here often. Work is rather hectic, and with the boat, my weekends are quite full. I'm also coming off a pretty invasive, but successful surgery. So, I'm thankful to be back into the swing of things. Gary - Doesn't surprise me at all...

    Stopping by to say 'hi'

LOL Oh, Tom! I can't drink the water in the Keys without the same thing happening to me! I should have warned you that was a possibility! And no worries. It probably wouldn't have worked out anyway since we were in Arkansas in December digging for diamonds. However, if you ever get a chance to...

    Stopping by to say 'hi'

Hi all! Just thought I'd stop by and say hi! Been a while since I've been on the board, and not much has changed. The Tundra is holding up really well. We've had it for just under a year and a half, put 36K miles on it, and have had zero problems. Still... I miss my Sport Trac terribly...

    Trip time

Ditto to what bo said. The rainy/thunderstorm season is in full force. And if you are a fan of the Harry Potter franchise, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios is simply amazing. If you go here's two tips... 1. The frozen butterbeer is better, hands down 2. The Hogs Head Ale...

To travel into Canada, I need...

IIRC, needing a passport is a relatively new thing (in the last 5 or so years). About 9 years ago I went to Canada on a day trip while I was up in Maine. It was nice, they just asked for IDs and what we'd be doing for the day. Then they sent us on our way. I guess they're learning a bit from...

    UK Seat Belt Ad

Yes! Thank you for posting this. My seatbelt saved my life last year in my roll over accident. Otherwise I would have been thrown completely out of the window - heck, I was already halfway out out the window, slung up by the seatbelt because of the force of the roll. The seatbelt kept me in the...

Went fishing in the new boat

Thanks, all. We had an absolute blast out there. The boat is fantastic, and the fishing is amazing. And sure enough, if anyone's in town and wants to go out, shoot me a line. If we can make it work, we'll go! swshawaii - I'd like to see pics of that! I don't quite think we'll be...

Went fishing in the new boat

Well, we finished setting up the new boat and breaking in the motor, and today was our first offshore fishing trip. Seas were only 1-2 ft, and the boat was fantastic. We got it up to 40 knots (freaking awesome) traveling to and from the port. Once we reached our destination (one we used to...

    Key West / Marathon

Hey, Rob, trust me...I'd MUCH rather be down there with the boat. We're just hoping the forecast clears up a bit here so we can go out this weekend. We've taken it on the intercoastal to break in the engine and it is sweet! (Fast too, got it up to about 50mph the other day...) :banana...

    Key West / Marathon

Rob, if you go to Curry Hammock State Park, enter through the main gate and park in the parking lot on the left, there is a small canal that runs between the park and a residential neighborhood and leads to the Atlantic. There are grouper, lots of big snapper, cudas, and tarpon (in the evenings...

Favorite Movies Of All Time (Your Top 5)

What a great idea. You can tell a lot about people sometimes by these type of impromptu polls. Off the top of my head, my list: 1. The American President 2. Gladiator 3. Tombstone 4. Blazing Saddles 5. While You Were Sleeping
