    Locking Spare Tire to vehicle

I used a chain and padlock for the tire. The chain was covered to prevent marking the rim and locked to the frame rail. Remember to oil the lock occasionally. Power locks for the tailgate are around and are fairly easy to wire in.

What to do when you need to replace your beloved ST?

As a die hard Ford person and a Sport Trac owner for 18 years, I also had the choice to make. The Ranger is not a ST, it is only a new Ranger with 4 doors. Check out the Tacoma, I found it to be the best in comparison to the ST. Roomy back seat, folding flat, power back window, composite bed...

FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC MAISTO 1:18 PREMIERE EDITION 2000 BLUE DIECAST NIB

That's still a rare one. Most of those models were in Gold. I myself had a few of them but in gold only.

    2019 Ranger disappointment...

I know to many, this might be sacrilege but one word. Tacoma. As a die hard Ford man, I found it to be alot closer to what the Sport Trac was and what Ford forgot.

2001 Sport Trac, Factory tonneau, ARE cap

Checking to see interest in my Sport Trac , factory hard tonneau cover and an ARE cap. I'm considering offering as separate as interest varies. The Trac is 2001, Island blue, 108K miles. AC loses charge. Thinking of 2000 Hard factory cover. Lift struts and the kit that came with to key to...

    New Ranger V Tacoma

On a whim, I stopped at a Toyota dealership and checked out the Tacoma. I have to say, in comparison, it comes alot closer to what the Sport Trac was than the new Ranger. Just to name a few things, it has a composite bed, v6 engine, availabe roof rails, and the interior is more comfortable...

    Build & Price a 2019 Ford Ranger

OK. Now they have added the Toneau options. But I still need roof rails!

    Build & Price a 2019 Ford Ranger

Now, they just need to add the Raptor. Also, roof rails and a hard toneau option

A/C Compressor always running (not cycling off)

This I did on my Bronco 2. The spring pulled off the front of the clutch and I turned the center stem about a half turn and put it back on. When I revved the engine after that, you could hear the difference in the fan pushing more air.

A/C Compressor always running (not cycling off)

Check the fan clutch spring. I had one with a bad spring and the fan clutch would not lock in and cool. I spun it to always engaged and it was better after that

    Thermostat Housing Aluminum FoMoCo

Well, mine started leaking as well. Seems to be the o-ring on the bottom. Of course, due to bolt corrosion, I ended up destroying the whole thing just to get it out. They really didn't make this thing easy. Ordered off Ebay as well as it even comes with the long bolts I now need. Of course, this...

New Ranger Prototype Hits 2018 NY Auto Show !!!!

Saw it. Not bad but kinda looks like every other Ford. It's nice to see coil springs in the front. Disappointing that they have little information on it. Bed is steel, not a composit. Nothing else we don't already know. Nothing about any other vehicles like maybe the Bronco. Auto show as a whole...

    Steering wheel oozing

Well, this is a new one for me. Get in on one of the currently real hot days we've had and find a black tar like stuff on my hands. I first thought it was from outside but today realized it was coming from the steering wheel. I figure it must be some padding breaking up under the leather due...

    Rear window weatherstripping came loose

Had that happen some time ago. Was able to glue it in with a weather strip adhesive. Tricky but can be done with the window down.

    Sport Trac battery timeframe

I'm on only the second battery in mine. Recently went away on a 10 day vacation which included a blizzard, cold spell and an ice storm the day I got back. No issue starting. The original Motorcraft battery lasted 8 years, this one's a Diehard. The shut off circuit mentioned only turns off...
