    time set?

Clock and Seek button Clock and Tune button I have to experiment every year. After 11 it seems to have sunk in, finally.

    Ouch! That hurts!

It's a Dodge. Low self esteem is always an issue in that company.

    Another Ex-Sport Trac Owner :-(

The Kia does look okay and I have good things about the new ones. I am sort of hoping the Vertrek - or whatever they end up calling it - fills in the same spot at Ford.

    Just Curious

I love my Trac! A little preventative maintenance and we are still happily rolling along. I wish they were keeping it so that I could get a new one next year, but then again, I sort of like being unique.

    AC recharge

Speaking of air conditioning. For the last year my air has been on again off again. Hubby thought it was in my head. The dealer mechanic basically said the same thing. The old "worked fine for us" story. They did change one piece (!) of the evap system to make the CEL go out. Didn't work. They...

    Keeping the Baby in shape

My '01 had been feeling a little loose in the front end lately. I had a month long business trip without it coming up and FabHub had a busy month planned so I asked him to drop off my baby for a suspension tune up at the mechanic. We could guess what was wrong since for all of these 10 years...

    Ethanol 85 Use

Regarding the Switch Grass, according to a Successful Farming article that I do not have in front of me... It is a better fuel product than corn, but it is hard to get started since other weeds will be mixed in for a couple of years until the Grass crowds them out. The biggest problem seemed to...

    Ford Escape CEL P0400 ??

Thanks for the Escape link. I like the look of their new concept. Now I can keep an eye on it for the future.

So many Sport Tracs in Sevierville, TN

I have had my ST for its whole 10 year life and during that time I always notice other STs. There didn't seem to be too many in my 75 mile or so area, southern WV and western VA, for the first several years, but in the last couple of years whenever I get out on the road there seem to be STs...

Damn, that Ranger's got some power!

Funny now that they aren't going to make the ST anymore I see more and more of them on the road. Don't know where they have been before, but seem to be more out there and not all of them new. I keep hoping they have a secret surprise plan. :supercool:

Happy 10th Birthday to my Trac

Green with envy is an understatement - then again I do love driving my Trac. It had its 10th birthday in August - 176K and still smiling.

    I am just saying . . . / rant

I agree too! As posted in another link here - the ST is the best size and has the best capabilities for people like me. My experience is 176k miles in 10 years with my '01. In that time I know that I need 4x4, sometimes, and drive a mix of pavement and gravel every day. I carry more than two...

EDIT: INFO ONE OF THE SADIST DAYS OF MY LIFE.. THE LAST Sport Trac Has been built !!! PLZ READ !!

Same sad story here with my 2001. We have 10 years and 176k miles together. I asked the local dealer what they would have in a couple years, I know he doesn't know what will be available, but his answer was an F150 - I laughed and told him I might live in the country and need a 4x4, but I am not...

    2011 Explorer

Sorry to hear that it won't be coming. FabHub just bought an F-250 and I don't want anything to do with an F-150. So I guess they are cutting into their own FoMoCo sales when I have to replace the ST. I want something that a teenager wouldn't normally drive - Ranger, that is too small for a...

    Sport Trac can't tow!

Had the same problem on the website, but drove to the rental place and didn't talk about. The rental guy wrote down F-150 without mentioning it. Saw it on the rental agreement as we drove away. After that FabHub built a trailer from an old popup camper and we don't rent from them.

    2011 Explorer

I liked the look of this Explorer when it first showed and then I saw a reference to the third row of seating being standard in all models. Nope, can't do that. Can't even fold them down and deal with it. Has anybody heard about the Ranger Double Cab coming from Europe? The article linked...

    ball joint question

Changing mine didn't cost that much, but only because I was lucky to make it home. Turned into the driveway and the truck wouldn't finish the turn. I got out to find out why and just about had a freak attack in the road. The passenger side ball joint had completely busted. Not attached. Wheels...

ST users advice for future Ranger

I was looking for the next generation ST and found out that there isn't going to be one! So then I poked around the internet and found this link. Winding Road has pics of the 2011(12 ?) Ranger Double Cab under cloak. Looks a bit bigger than a Ranger by the photos. I might be interested if it is...

    Six gas mileage myths

I can disprove the age equals less mileage myth! 2001 4x4 with 170,000 miles and 34 oil changes later (every 5000) still getting about 20 miles to the gallon. Air filters often enough, but oil always on time.

    Obama's speech to the kids

The uproar from my perspective is interrupting math class to tell students to stay in school. Record it and play it later at home, where the parents can answer the kid's questions rather than the teacher being forced into another parenting duty. Most people probably don't know how often the...
