After 6 years and 79,000 miles I am saying goodbye to my 2004 ST. I want to thank all those on this site for helpful tips. Frankly, I regret ever buying this vehicle. I've had many of the same problems that others have had as noted in this forum (4x4 motor, power windows, transmission, etc.)...

I understand that many members advise tapping the 4x4 engagement module when the ST doesn't engage in 4 wheel drive (a common problem). I know this has been asked before but where is the 4x4 motor? Is it near the oil filter and do I reach it by getting under the ST?

Can anyone please tell me where the 4wd engagement motor is? I've heard many of you advise whacking it with a mallet to get it engaged but I am not sure where the motor is. THANKS!
