Well after a 6.5 year college career, my days of being a student are officially over as of 11/11/12. I graduated with my masters degree in health sciences - Physician Assistant studies. Reality hasn't set in yet, but I am glad to be done. I am ready to move on in life and start my official career as a PA. I will be practicing Emergency Medicine.
I became involved with my town's EMS at 14 years old and was an EMT at 16. As I would bring patients to the hospital, it seemed like every time I handed patient care over to a PA, they would always take the time to pull me aside and teach me something new - be it general knowledge or a skill. Needless to say, as I graduated high school I knew what I wanted to do. I was accepted into Quinnipiac's Physician Assistant program and have absolutely been working my a$$ off ever since. I can't even count the 1-2 hr sleep nights, studying well into the early morning hours only to wake up at 6a and do it all over again. It has been one hell of a ride is to say the least...
