Going to put a for sale sign on it. Something that looks good and can stay on the vehicle for awhile.

Does anyone know someone that does this? A good internet company or something?

I'm putting it up for sale for a profit. I own it right. Like...way under retail value. My wife isn't thrilled with it and I kind of bought it without giving her a real chance to consider it. So I figured I'd let it go ONLY if I can make some money.

I can always get another one later.

The truck is nearly perfect mechanically and cosmetically and when I sell it, it will be in better condition than when I got.

So if I can make a healthy profit...why the hell not? :)

This truck has a HUGE advantage in that it would be a sub-$11,000 vehicle. Most Lightnings cost considerably more. This one has the right amount of miles and a great condition. Makes it an easy sell in my opinion.

Lightnings are know for being reliable at higher mileage. They are also know for creating a severe mod addiction! :driving:

When I was younger, I bought and sold many cars. It was not unusual for me to have a car for a few weeks. I would clean them up and sell them for a small profit. That is one way I built capital to eventually purchase my dream car - a 1973 Trans-Am 455 with manual trans. Red w/black interior, but that is another story.....

:back2topic:

Good luck selling - It should not be a problem.

Avgeraged 13.5 second 1/4mile, off the showroom floor....:driving:

Of course smaller motors are developing power nowdays. Back then the instant torque of a big block was ghastly..

Shame we didnt have the street tires of today, back then.

You must be joking...if that is the case then all Fords must be reliable at higher mileage, if

in fact the Lightning it is still a Ford..... It's worth about 6K.

:cheeky:

The L has some Factory fordged internals. They are well documented into the 250,000+ range with minimal issues.

They have an F350 tran. They have a 9.75 12 rear. They just don't have issues that you would normally see if vehicles built to a lower spec.

If you stick a ford emblem on a vehicle its an automatic $6,000 add on! Didn't you know!?:kiss_it:

hmmmmmm,

quick resale. just asking everything ok with it ?

always liked the lighnithg:supercool:.

Yup. I'm going to fix the axle seals, go 4:11s, and make the carpet and seats new at some point. Hard right now with daycare coming up so fast.

It also has a rust spot under the driver's side interior door trim. That will be completely redone back to new eventually. Needs some minor touch up in one spot the size of a needle.

It shouldn't cost much and it will bring the truck to excellent condition.

I need to retap one of the bolts that hold a COP in. I believe the previous owner broke a bolt inside. I'ts being held down with a bolt between some metal rail and the COP lol. That's a cheap fix also.

For 175,000 miles. I've NEVER come across a vehicle in this good a condition. Of any make or model. It's unreal and I'm so glad I bought this truck to experiance a Lightning and hopefully make some money.

I'm a perfectionist. It will be done right.

Locally I'm asking $10,500.

I will sell to a Myst member for $9,500 firm. There is one, like mine, on ebay right now and it's already closing in on $11,000+. I will not lower my price because I cannot replace this truck for less than $9,500.

Any yes, I will write the bill of sale out for less if you want me to.
