So I had about 3 cracks in my windshield on my 93 F-150. I decided since I have zero deductable glass on my insurance and the fact that I am taking it off insurance for the summer (rarely drive it, really want it for my winter beater now) that I should get the glass replaced. I called up my insurance, Progressive and they had recommended Safelight. I've heard good things about them so I decided to give them a try. I was pleased that they were there the following morning by 9am. My wife unlocked the car for them and had some errands to run. I got home after work and some errands to look at the new windshield. It looked good, until I looked at the trim piece below the wipers (between the windshield and the hood). They dented the crap out of that trim piece, then upon further inspection the crome trim piece around the windshield was bent pretty good, I can just about stick my finger between the sheet metal and the chrome, then on other parts, they chrome trim is sunk below the sheet metal slightly. I've had my windshield replaced 4-5 times since I've owned the vehicle and never had an issue with it. I put a call into insurance last night and they are contacting safelight's customer service. I'll let you know what happens there.:angry:

They dented the blue piece?! Wow! That plus the chrome - pretty bad! You might have a bone to pick with Progressive because they recommended them. I have worked in health insurance and one thing you learn quick is NEVER recommend a doctor to someone, in an official function. This is different of course, but that is the reason I think you have a bone to pick with Progressive as well as Safelight.

Dennis, I did call Progressive and they were stunned that I had a bad experience and did what they could to take care of it, because Safelight's customer service was closed by the time that I called in they sent them an e-mail and are supposed to follow up with them today. I just called in to Safelight and now I have to wait for their shop manager to get in, probably out golfing right now. Now I get to chat w/ this guy on my way up north.

Been to them twice. First time was great, second time they did okay but I found 2 minor damage points afterwards that I knew was them. They're hidden for the most part so I didn't care, but your damage is inexcusable.
