I will be getting some BFG all terrains this summer and was wondering how the ride quality changed going from the stock tires to LT rated bfgs??

How about road noise with the more aggressive tires??

right now i have 31x10.5 yokohama geolanders that are cupped so the noise is driving me crazy (cupped from former truck)

I will be getting an allignment when i get new tires (will do slight TT as im getting 265x75s)

i have them on my ST right now actually....in 255/75/16 and they ride very well, I liked the ride MUCH better over the stock sized/type tires. They make the truck seem much more planted and ride well, work well all around, the only thing I don't like with them is turning....but still quite decent. And they aren't loud at all...the wind is much more noticible then these tires :)

Hey guys,

Haven't been around for a while.

I have 265/70/R16 on my truck @ stock height. Only a little rubbing on full turn. more so on the left side then the right.

Overall, the ride quality is MUCH better than I expected. Like adas said, you feel more "planted." As soon as I got in my truck and started driving after they were installed I could feel the tires gripping the road. The handling became much more stable.

All this said, I have 1.25" spacers on the front and 1.5" spacers on the back so that helps with the solidity that I am experiencing.

Overall they are an attractive tire that tears the Sugar Honey Iced Tea out of any grass/mud/dirt/gravel they come across. and not too expensive as far as ATs go.

I've been experiencing a lot of rock kickups due to the tread. I dont have mud flaps so I'm getting quite a few nicks. If you care about that sort of thing you should get some mud flaps (or at least keep the step bars on).

Happy Riding.

Sorry about the blank posting! I have a 2007 XLT. The stock Michelins were worn out by 25,000 miles or so. I replaced them with stock-size BFG AT's. Best thing I ever did! Ride quality is superb, both in town and on the highway. And they got me through a fairly rough winter with no problems whatsoever. I can't recommenmd them enough.

Had the same size as adas on my 01. I loved them and they looked new when I traded it in two years later. After my 08's tires wear a little will be getting them agian!!

I've had both the BFG All Terrain TA KOs and the Michelin LTX A/T 2 and the Michelins were by far better in every possible way than the BFGs.

I do like the BFGs though. They are cheaper. I found their rain handling rather poor.

I got just 30,000 from my Stock Goodyear Wrangler SR-A. Maybe Stock tires are not very good no matter what the make.

I once had 265/70-16 with a 3 inch body lift. I had Mickey Thompson Baja STZ. Didn't have wheel spacers and had no rubbing. And they were on the factory Adrenalin 16x7 wheels.

Now I've upgraded from those to... 20x9 with -12mm BS on 35/12.50-20 Radar Renegade R7. Have 8 inch lift, with slight rubbing on the inner fender when turning and hitting a bump.
