Well some one thought the best of the holiday spirit and stole baby Jesus from my nativity over the weekend.....



The thing that ticks me off is 1 the theft, and, why baby Jesus ?? Hate crime ?? Idiots ??? and if it was kids being jerks, they could have taken something that was not part of a matching set !!



ARRGGHH !!!!!

There was a story on the news just last night about ppl stealing the nativity scenes. A local church is fighting back by having tracers installed in theirs, so if someone steals them, they can track live data as to where they went. Not cheap.....each unit is selling for about 600 bucks, but the church got them for free.



There is also reports of people getting their blow-up Frosties slashed as well.....prob punk teenagers with nothing else better to do.

Sounds like something the punk teens that walk my street would do. The ones that mocked my US flag and I think they shreaded it.

Just before IKE came. They took a sledge hamer and drove a small wooden palate into the storm drain. City workers got it out. Their dad should have been told. One of my nieghbors saw them do it. He called the city. Dumb kids..:angry:

Just put in a hidden security camera(s). That way if they come back you'll have them on video to turn in to the police.

Time for a camera set up.

This particular theft (baby Jesus from nativity scenes) has been so prevalent the past few years that some churches have taken to hiding a GPS locater within the baby doll.

it is not worth the $$, i will replace the ornament, Just stinks...



As for security and stuff, i will just use some electrified wire to Mount it next time and not string and electrical tape !! :lol:

I find it highly symbolic that it seems only baby Jesus gets stolen.

I'm 18 years old so i'm still considered a kid by most, but why in the hell do people do things like that??? I just don't understand it... Sorry about that Todd, it really is a shame we have so many people like that in this wonderful country.

Just indicative of our society---nobody wants Jesus around. What a sad and shameful testimony on our generation. The Greatest Gift ever given us by God, and no one wants Him...

That sucks Todd. It is very indicative of modern day society though. Ive had flags and stuff stole from off my house during the night, I actually started screwing them into the holder so they would have to break the pole to get it now. Teanage gang bangers do most of it around here. Came through the neighborhood slashing tires a few years back. Painted gang signs on the nieghborhood entry sign this year..bunch of punks. I wish I would catch one of them.

agree Chris M. I agree. One church figured that their baby Jesus was going to get stolen so they put a note underneath him saying, "Fine, go ahead and take me, I know you need me."

That happened at my church a couple of years ago. Then the following summer, baby Jesus showed up in a plastic bag with a broken arm and a note saying, "It was a joke. Sorry if people didn't think it was funny. Oh, and we slipped on the ice and his arm broke." As though getting stuff stolen from you would ever be funny. Obviously mom and dad found it and made him write the note which at least is something. But the bag had no name on it and was dropped off at night when no one was there. If it were my kid, he would have been giving it back in person and doing volunteer work.

A couple of Bouncing Betty's would solve the problem.

Get a new baby Jesus, put it in the nativity, dress up like Joseph, stand in the nativity and wait till the criminals return to steal the baby again, then WHAMMO!!!! :lol:

Heard on the radio today of some "good people"...



One: A couple's car had broken down on the side of the highway and a good person decided to stop and help them. Upon walking up to the hood of the car, the man was holding a gun and took the helping mans wallet and car keys.



Two: A seventy year old man had heard a knock at his door. Had seen a twenty-something girl standing at it. Upon opening the door to see what she needed... The door got thrown open by 2 guys that were hidden from the view of the door and took all his money and gifts that he already had wrapped.



Crap is terrible this year.

Police won't even investigate anything like this around here. BIL had his truck stolen and police wouldn't even go outside to look at it after it was found.



Crime seems to pay in my town.



Conceal and carry is sounding better everyday.
