have an 05 sport trac xlt Adrenalin. Wipers operate only on high. I thought the switch and changed it but no. thinking maybe the wiper relay or motor. could someone tell me where the relay is ? I have looked and cannot find anything on its location.
thanks

I have been serching my master manuals. The wiring and trouble shooting gets confusing. What I am seeing is something about checking PCM connections. The other thing I see is for all the different wiper problems. Ford says replace the motor..HMM. Maybe the speed regulator is built in. It does say to check the motor connection for corrosion. Also to be carefull with the motor. It has some sort of glass impregnated magnets. Dont drop or bang on it.
I will try to study some more. I have the Ford Motor co manuals.

Guess I need to provide more info. Truck was born in Maine and stayed there for several years and eventually came to Myrtle Beach SC where I bought it. It does have some corrosion on it but not the body . It was undercoated and sealed some time ago. IT does have corrosion on other parts. screws nuts bolts some electrical connections and such. The truck have 175K miles on it and thus must have been in no so great conditions at times. wiper motor does have surface corrosion on it . That could be part or all of my problem. I am disabled thanks to Viet Nam and cant do things very well anymore. Crawling around under the truck is an ordeal for me. I can look at electrical connections on motor and removal is not in my area of can do. But I do have help. So bad grounds, and connections are a possibility. Ill look at those tomorrow and see what I can find and get back to you.
I did a switch of the relays and got no different results so they are ok. Ill get back to you guys later.
Thanks
Earl

Earl, It appears you were in 'Nam a few years before me. 3yr enlistment, Im 69, did 2 tours. My getting around is mostly getting older. Blessed I wasnt wounded in 'Nam. Spent 2 tours '70 to '72 with MACV Special Ops Group. I had blanket travel orders. The only part of 'Nam I didnt get to was the south delta region. Most of our OPs were from Siagon to the DMZ, Laos and Cambodia.

was checking what I could check today . Went to wiper motor to see whats what and found the plug loose and not making contact with all the pins. Further investigation found that the plug on the motor doesn't have a clip to hold onto the plug. thus making it vibrate loose . I used 2 zipties and anchored it so it will not move again. Now my wipers are good as new.
