I am stumped. Have a 02 ST that when sitting in the parking lot for lunch the battery gauge dropped and the light came on. Granted it has been 95+ degrees so I had the ac on. Since then I replaced the alternator and battery but the battery gauge is still reading low and the light came back on. Any help? It has 167K.

I suspect you got a bad altenator. The battery light is usualy an indication of a bad voltage regulator. It is built into the altenator.
Did you buy a new or rebuilt altenator? sometimes they are not thourhly, checked. I have seen new ones do the same.
