Do I need a crush gasket between the cats and the new catback? And if so, anyone got a part number? I'm hoping to do this on Saturday, assuming the weather holds, so I'd love to order the gasket tomorrow if I need one. TIA.

I should add that I have the magnaflow catback kit already sitting in the garage.

using a new gasket is a good Idea. When I put my manaflow on my '04 V6. The old one tore a little on the surface. Itmay have been ok, just glad I had one. Do the job one time.

I think its walker 35555 or something like that.... you need the special one as the OEM is too small.....

That should work.... if the pipe is too large there is another one we used to sell with the off road cats that was a longer cone and worked great...

Well, the weather was perfect for wrenching yesterday, so I spent the day on my back in the driveway. Well worth it though, the Magnaflow sounds so much better, it actually sounds like I drive a V8 now. As a bonus, smoother pedal response and slight bump in the seat-of-the-pants-o-meter as far as acceleration goes. Anyone on the fence, go for it. The nice thing is its still relatively quiet in the driveway, which helps keeps the missus happy. And I did need to replace the gasket between the cat and the catback, and the part number above it correct. The toughest part is getting the old exhaust out. A cut off wheel on an angle grinder, or a sawzall, is your friend here.
