Good afternoon Guys,
So My 4x4 goes in and out of 4 high no issues. The strange thing is when I switch into 4 high the light blinks one time then goes out but the truck does stay in 4x4.

So mechanically everything is working just the 4x4 light doesn't stay on.

Thanks for the help!
Jeremy

sounds like the control module is going, or the motor, or the fork in the t case is slightly out of alignment...

Thanks Todd, I had the tcase replaced 3 years ago not sure if they did the motor too.

I guess I'll get a used module
for $40 and see if that fixes.it.

Id hate to see you throw parts at it if its just an adjustment underneath...

So we have a post for adjusting the forks? I plan on doing all body mounts hopefully this weekend I can take a look at it then.
Ended up buying all eight mouths from dorman for $430 vs $3000 Ford wanted.
I figured I'd rather have all new hardware seeing I live in New England in my truck is a 2003 okay

its not a post, but I think the motor may move a little and be slightly adjustable.... Or the motor could be sticking slightly....

Jeremy,
Im curious were the ford mounts the same old mushy mounts? As came from the factory. $3K is outragious..
I had my body mounts replaced a few years ago with polyeurthanes

I hope to do the Job tomorrow. Waiting on my uncles lift/warm shop.

I could have just ordered the poly bushings for 130 but I figure my hardware on a 16 year old truck is a bit gone as the bushings are.

So from Card.com all 8 with hardware were $430 which is still alot but the job should go much easier!

I'll post an update once I'm done. In a new thread.

Thanks,

Highly recommend heating the body mount bolt tips from below with a torch to soften the factory Loctite. Ford's blue stuff is incredibly strong and seems heat activated like the red. A few here have used the rubber Dorman mounts with success. Good luck and keep us posted.
