i am looking for the rubber piece that plugs the hole on each side of the hard rear bed cover..

this piece is the same on both sides and it keeps water from getting into the bed..does anyone have a broken cover or by some crazy chance, one of these plugs..

while i am at it, i also need one of those plastic plugs that holds the elastic straps under the back cover that are used when you have the back flipped up and folded over toward the back window..they are like an inch circle that fit into the cover with a plastic square piece that is like a license plate holder

please let me know at [email protected]

thanks!

I have a bit of a broken up cover left. Is this piece you speak of maybe the 28550E?

I only have the 2 cover halves (back half broken up badly, front I don't remember), the hinge (possibly bent) and some of the rubber edging that may or may not be usable. All of the other hardware has been sold. If I find another broken up one I'm grabbing it for parts too.

When I met member David Hefner last week I noted the rubber end pieces at the center hinge on his cover were different, longer, than the ones on my cover. I took my cover into the shop today and removed the center hinge rubber ends. Each was riveted on with 2 rivets. The way they're made there is also a left and right side.

Gary, if they're what you need you get 1st shot since you asked first (specify L or R.) Chico you're next.

These are the same thing I am needing. Right side to be exact. Actually started a thread asking for one. Throw my name in the hat for right one if no one takes it.

Gary spoke for these first but I sent Torrie an email asking for info on price and availability since there are several needing them. I'm waiting on a reply.

Thanks, called the Ford place and they want an arm, leg, 3 cats, and dibbs on next grand baby. Thing cannot cost more than a buck to manufacture, no way.

According to Torrie these are available in a "TONNEAU CVR SERVICE" kit, part number 1L2Z9928550EB. It lists for $199.99 and he sells it for $166.60. When I inquired as to the availability of these two pieces separately he said there were only a couple left in existence. He did not specify what was included in the tonneau cover service kit.

That's pretty bad news for Trac owners with the OEM hard cover. prchrman, if your Ford dealer has any of these you'd better sweet talk him out of them!

I need one too!!! I think I found one at the dealer for $38.16!!! That is crazy if anymore pop up keep me in mind. Also I am looking for the rubber cover that goes on the back lock. If you got one of those let me know please!

Again, this post is dead..... its from 2011

I realize this thread is ancient but I'm sure folks are still in need of these parts. Now I have now further information but was wondering if someone much smarter than I am could pass on some information on maybe 3D printing some of these. If so someone could stand to make lots of money for not much investment.

Some one on the FB forum is already 3d printing them..... Its not a priority so he is hard to get in touch with.

IIRC the 3D covers he was making were for Gen 1. Different?
