Hope for a stuck valve. A few on here had droped valves on the V6 motor. I would find out quik before the block gets ruined.

Did you do a compresion test are just asumming. If no test done it maybe a spark plug or wire.

I would not drive it. With luck might be a broken valve spring, valve stuck open. That can be repaired without pulling the head. A good mech will air pressure the cylinder, pull the valve up. then replace the spring. You can pull the valve cover on that side and inpect it yourself. If that is it, driving might break the valve stem keeper and drop in the cylinder. catosthropic damamge.

The worst might be the piston compression ring broke. That will scar the cylinder. catosthropic damamge.

Then it could be a blown head gasket. If it didnt overheat. It might not have blown into a coolant passage.

These are just my idea's from years of messing with motors. I may have missed this intirely. If you a capable I would pull that vale cover. and look for a broken valve spring. Or something holding the intake or exhaust valve open. when you turn the motor over. Unplug the distributer jack so no spark starts the motor.

Or stretched timing chain holding valve open... DO NOT DRIVE IT !! get it looked at asap.

this truck is over head cam..... its not that easy, requires special tools and may even require engine removal depending on the side.
