Hello everyone

I have a wiring problem...My multifunction switch harnesss is doing what all other Sport Trac are doing ..going on this forum, I know exactly which wire (wires) are the problem I bought a new harness end to splice the original to the new........No problem.....the new harness end isnt color coded....no problem ,just take one wire at a time and splice it to the same position the factory one are. While i was removing the the multi function switch the plug itself was so bad all the wires popped out of the plug itself .

I tried to line them up hoping none of them moved out of place..But no luck....

My question is,,, ,Does anyone have any access to information ,or better yet a picture or diagram of which slot all those wires go ? Or would i be better off and paying the price and get one from the dealer. Any info would be GREATLY Appreciated

Thank you:boohoo:

Hopefully here. Sorry, didn't search MFS wiring. GL

I think the pigtails from the dealers are the same color too.......

I may have the wiring diagram in a manual at home..

Or maybe some one can just take a picture for you???

I went to the dealer and yes the pigtail isn't color coded...just black. And they don't sell the complete harness needed. I do have a 2002 sport trac book from Ford. The diagram shows the shape of the connector and the position of color coded wires. 2 things...

1 ...is there's 1 extra wire that mine doesn't have. And

2 ....color coded wires I don't have

A picture of the actual factory harness taken from the rear with all the wires clearly seen would be extremely helpful but I know that's a project

I have looked at the projects here in this forum and can see some of the wires (ie the one that started all this mess) but there's several left that I cant make out. Unless someone is doing this repair I may have to wait or take a chance and place wires where I think they should go.

Thanks for all the input so far

Gil

Awesome ! Thank you! So I don't need to put the new one in I bought ? Or can you show me photos . The harness I have a new one but don't know how to replace it .
