My Trac was totaled in a rear end accident I was hit by two cars and it sustained more damage than it could survive. I have enjoyed this forum but farewell.

Sorry to hear this. Must have took some massive frame damage.

It has gotten to be sad that insurance companies, total cars. That used to be fixed. frame and all.

:grin:Max, I feel for you,

I have my 2016 Hyundai Tucson Sport in the shop now for about $3500 in repairs to the front end....mostly damage to plastic parts, but still more expensice than I expected. Should get it back sometime next week. I hit a very large deer Thanksgiving evening. Antlers hit the driver's side fender above the wheel arch buckled the hood slightly, and distroyed the grill bumper cover, fog light and headlight. Amazing how much damage a deer can do when hit at about 55 mph. I guess that's the price you pay for taking the back roads instead of the interstates.

Insured, but it will still cost me my $500 deductible.......grrrrrr !

Updated 12/14/2017. Yesterday, the shop had to contact my insurance company for approval of $1500+ additional damage to the AC condenser and turbo inter-cooler...both were bent/bowed, and must be replace. They also need to replace the hood instead of doing paint-less dent repair that the insurance estimator thought might be possible? Total cost for repairs is now is $5200+. Insurance approved the additional damage and repairs. Gotta love GEICO !! Claim is listed as "No Fault" by me, and covered under my Comprehensive coverage.
