Differences between 1st gen and 2nd gen

Greetings. New member (will post a formal intro in another post).



Just wanted to know if a stock bed extender for 1st gen works on 2nd gen sport trac?



I've owned two 1st gen sport tracs ('01 & '02) and currently looking into buying an '08 but it seems like nobody is selling a second generation with bed extender around the East Texas/Dallas area. It's so useful! I was just researching if I could use the one I have on the newer model so I decided to ask here. I also have a hard tonneau cover, but I would understand if that one doesn't fit.



Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also, If anyone knows of any website with the differences between models, that would be great if you'd share!

I had an extender out of a 2002 or 2005 that was still in garage after purchase of 2007 & I used it in the '07 & it worked fine.
