Rodger,

I am not personally a big fan of Pirelli tires that are sold in the USA. I purchased Pirelli's for 2 vehicles I owned in the past, and the tire wear was terrible and the warranty was worthless.

I have had Pirelli tires on several vehicles I owned while living in Europe and they were excellent tires. I believe the European tire standards were more stringent and there were more top quality competitive brands. I think Pirelli was selling cheaper tires here in the USA by capitalizing on their European reputation.

In the USA, there is a much wider range of tire quality and prices...you can pay a premium price for crappy tires, or you can pay a highly discounted price for crappy tires. Places like Discount Tire do not often get the best quality tires...therefore they can give a bigger discount.

I have had great quality and service from Goodyear (purchased at Goodyear tire center), Michelin, and the Hankook tires that are OEM on my last 2 Hyundai Tucson's (not sure if they make SUV/Truck tires?)

Love my Michelin LTX(2). Great price at Costco, excellent ride. Junt not a tough looking as what I have had before. Bridgestone Revo and Nokian.

Rodger,

Sounds good...I have never owned Cooper tires, but I have never heard anything bad about them...only good.
