My CEL came on a couple of days ago and stays on but will sometimes blink at low RPM's. My software shows misfires on 1,2 and 3. Just for the heck of it I put on a new coil but that didn't change anything. I had a mechanic say to check the compression to see if the timing chain may have jumped a tooth. Is there anything else that would affect the whole left bank. Can the timing chain really jump a tooth? Thanks.

 
Sadly this is a common issue, Yes it can jump...... If it goes further BOOM goes the motor... also have to take the engine out to replace the chains.



Can try fuel filter, or check the common elbow that is known for going and can also cause an issue on 1 side.

Air leaks downstream of the MAF will cause misfires on multiple cylinders. You mention new coil but have you checked the spark plugs? I don't know for sure about timing chain "jumping a tooth" but if it did I don't think the car would be driveable - even if it started.
