Canadite choice is always yours, but. Dont forget to vote, Thank you..

Yep Our choices' stink.....

Voting is a privilege most take for granted - please get out and vote! I waited in line over 25 minutes today, first time I ever had to wait a single a minute at my polling station. The wait was refreshing.

Thank you,

Chris.

Andy,

Not voting does not give up your right to complain. We always have the right to complain whether we vote or not, since nobody knows how you voted, or if you voted. :bwahaha:

I feel really shitty. I voted for someone I don't support. I didn't support any of the four candidates. I only voted in order to keep someone from winning and I wonder if it will make any difference.

I used an absentee ballot and submitted it last week. I just hope it gets counted...

Richard L, you can still complain - but it doesn't hold any weight unless you actually voted IMO. I vote and now I can complain because A: the person I voted for won and he/she hasn't lived up to my expectations, or B: the person I voted for lost and it's all the other guy/gal's fault:bwahaha:

Andy,

That was my point...You don't know if I voted or not, or who I voted for....Either way, I can always complain, and your opinion does not matter to me.

I did vote, but I would never vote for Hillary, and did not vote for Trump even though I agreed with him on many points. I never liked Trump's arrogant attitude and personality. I never thought of him as Presidential material, but agree that we needed to elect a President who was not the usual Washington Political insider. We need someone who can shake up both the Democratic and Republican parties....and Trump has certainly done that ! Lets all hope he can do at least half of what he promised, and that this may be the first volley in the struggle of the citizens taking back control of our government from the two extreme political parties that have been controlling everything for far too long.... Exactly what I have always advocated.

"What difference at this point does it make?" :bwahaha:

Seriously though I think many people misunderstood Trump's tactics. I am absolutely convinced that all his bluster was intended to do one thing and one thing only: keep the focus on him. Because he was not part of the establishment he probably believed that if he was not being controversial he would fade into the background with all the other dull candidates.

And another thing that most people probably didn't even realize was happening was everytime Trump made some "outrageous" claim within days it became a major focus of the campaign and by God he was almost always right!

From what I have seen in just the past week I have to say I am impressed with his focus on getting the right people in the right positions to carry out his agenda. You might not agree with his agenda and you might not like his tactics but so far he has surprised everyone at every turn. For example, everyone said the stock market was going to crash because Trump won. Quite the contrary, the market has set new record highs several days in a row because the market understands that this guy knows how to get things done.

Here is my advice for one cabinet position, appoint your son Don Jr as Secretary of the Interior. As an outdoorsman he will keep public lands in his best interest.

Roger,

I agree that President-Elect Trump acts more Presidential than he did before the election....Almost like he can't believe he actually won !

As for his son Don Jr as Secretary of the Interior....That is illegal. I was under the assumption that Presidents cannot appoint immediate family members to Cabinet positions....However, JFK appointed his brother Bobby as Attorney General and got away with it ???

Trump did appoint his Son-In-Law to head up his White House Staff....Not sure if In-Laws are considered immediate family??

UPDATE: I just confirmed that it is illegal for a President to appoint family members to cabinet posts. The law was passed in 1967, so that is why JFK was able to appoint his brother Bobby as Attorney General. Trump can appoint a family member (his Son-In-Law) as his White House Chief of Staff since it is not a Cabinet appointment.
