In the photo... the thing with the red... what does that do? I noticed while under the hood today, that it isn't staying connected to the throttle. Looks like the tip on the end of throttle is broken off. Trying to decide on either replace or jerry-rig it back on.

Do you have part number for thing it is connected to? The throttle I guess, that is what its called. It has a TIT at the end where this red thing connects onto but the TIT is broken off.
 
Oops, see in your profile you have the AMAZING Zabteck throttle body.



IMO, PM or wait for Todd Z's advice, or live without cruise control. GL

Sadly replacing the cruise control cable will only help for a few months...... The plastic wears out on the TB from lack of lubrication and plastic rubbing over the years....



I have a cool way to zip tie it to stay on and be safe, But mine is under the cover but its 2 small zip ties and mine has stayed on for years and Yall know how I drive !!!
