My 08 XLT gives me a TPMS fault anytime I'm on the interstate and go over 70 mph. Otherwise, I never get a fault. If I set cruise control for around 68, no problem. But if I exceeed 70, after about 10 minutes I get the fault. Could I have a loose band? Or what else could be the issue. When if first happened, the place I bought if from said I had too much pressure in the tires, which were at 38. I'm now running 35 lbs each.

Thanks for any tips or suggestions.

And Check the spare.

Didn't ink of getting the code read. Would the code still be n the system if the fault light goes off? Would AdvancedAuto be able to read the code?

I recently had the tires replaced on my '10 ST. The tire changer said two of the TPMS bands were broken and the sensors were loose in the tires. I never had a problem with a warning light, but should have.

My warning came on a lot. Tire shop tried their tester and said that three of the batteries were dead or weak. i got all new ones at NAPA and had them put in when I got new tires. Light stayed on all the time. Took it to the Ford dealer who reset them for free. :supercool: Now the warning comes on once in a while, no rhyme or reason to it that I can tell, so I push the button to turn the display off and put a piece of black electrical tape over the warning light. :driving:
