I always said that one day I will own a another '74 Mustang Coupe. Just bought this one, 3rd owner, all options except moon roof, all documentation since new. V6 auto, this is the only year a V8 was not offered in a Mustang. Please don't hate, these little cars saved the Mustang and they are hard to find as most were thrown away. I call it my Ghia Pet.

Nice! :supercool: My fourth car was a '78 Mustang II hatchback. Ignore the naysayers. Even though the II has a rep as the "red-headed bastard stepchild" of Mustangs, you're right in that it saved the Mustang brand. It was the right car at the right time. Lee Iacocca caught lightning in a bottle a second time with the Mustang II, and the sales numbers proved it. Enjoy her! :driving:

My first car was a 46 Ford convertible...bought it used for $125.

My first New car was a 1965 Pontiac GTO hardtop.

I wish I had them both now..!

...Rich

My first car was a '67 Chevy Impala I purchased from Yellow Cab Co for $125. I do not want it back, but it did have a very cold A/C.

I had a '74 Rustang II notchback for a while too. It had the 4-cylinder automatic, and was the doggiest car I have ever owned. It was two years old and had rust holes the size of your fist behind each of the four wheels. I don't miss that POS either.

I have had almost 30 cars/trucks in my life. I cannot think of any of them that I would like to have again. Some were good, some were bad, but none were so wonderful that I would want any of them back.

There are days that I wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of my hotrod Kawasaki Mean Streak 1600 bike. It was highly modified, handled great, and was quite the screamer!

I do, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 COPO, bought it wrenched from a guy that didn't know what it was for $750. Put it back together, drove it, wrecked it when some dumbass ran a red light, started a frame off resto but moved to Oregon and gave the shell and spare parts to my cousins, they lost storage and I've fund it a couple times over the years on eBay but never had the money to buy it back. It's still around, actually by chance I was walking through a local car show and saw the guys build photo album and it was my Camaro. We talked and really wants the title, vin plate and the rest of the I'd tags I kept from the car when I tore it apart to do the frame off. It's now titled and fully restored as a RS/SS with a different vin and title. If I ever come across money I'll buy a good donor body and use my vin, etc... To build it again. :supercool::driving:

'70 Ranchero GT followed by a Boss 429 Mustang. Traded the Boss in for a new '72 Gran Torino Sport. Biggest bonehead move EVER. Perfect hindsight huh? :banghead:

I too would like to have my first. I had a '63 Ford Galaxie 2dr. It had a 406 FE motor with 950 cfm tri-power carbs. Borg Warner T-10 4-speed, 3:50 LS gears. Gob's of big block HP & TQ.

It would be a specialty keeper today..

Hugh, I love that color, my second car was a 1971 Ford Torino with the same color followed by a 1972 Chevy Nova semi street legal drag car followed by a slew of other muscle cars and then trucks, then a Chevelle then sore trucks. LOL

'66 Falcon 1st of the big bodied Falcons. They shared parts with the Fairlane, not the Mustang. 6 cylinder 3 speed on the column. Wouldn't mind having another, but with an automatic this time. MPG was probably mid to upper 20s, acres of room under the hood and nothing under it but the engine, battery and a few wires. Simple and efficient.

Thanks Jerry. The color is Redfire Metallic from the mid '00s Mustang.

My second car was a 1999 Honda Accord LX with the 3.0L VTEC. Loved it, for what it was. I would get another Accord but these are essentially disposable vehicles. I don't get

attached to microwaves either.

Now the Sport Trac. Yup, three vehicles in my life and still own two. Plan to keep both.

Next is a small luxury or hatch.

My Torino was originally light green and reprinted later on, same color as your Cougar though. I'll have to dig up the old Polaroids and figure out how to post decent pics of them on here. I had them on my laptop but it died last year.

The first car that ever had my name on the title was a black jade '69 Boss 429. I bought it used in the mid seventies. Just like swshawaii I have been kicking myself ever since for not keeping that one.

A few years ago I bought a '70 Q-code Mach 1, I guess as some sort of retribution for my youthful stupidity. I have been working on restoring it and hope to have it done soon. Even though the Mach 1 is a 428 CJ, 4-speed car it will never be worth as much as that Boss.

My first was a 1977 Datsun 200sx. I also had a 1982 Mercury Lynx with the "high output" engine. I do wish I still owned the Datsun. It was somewhat rare. By the mid 1980's it was getting hard to find parts. Wrecked it in 1986 and could not find parts so insurance totaled it and wrote me a check. Oh well.. That specific body style was only made for 3 years, so Datsun/Nissan was not stocking lots of parts that were specific to that car.
