Everyone I know uses WeatherTech. I'm a factory man when it comes to mats. But I'm not in and out of mud a lot.

Those who use WeatherTech like the fact that it's full coverage and pretty much acts like a bowl carrying all the dirt, mud, water, snow, etc.

If you like function over form, go with the WeatherTech. If you like looks over function, OEM is always the way to go.

I'm just cheap. :bwahaha: So whichever will get the job done for the fewest pesos is what I'll buy...it's the reason I haven't yet. Too hard to come off of the pesos.

I actually prefer Husky floor mats. They have deeper treads than WeatherTech. Just my two cents. Wish that a company would make full liner though.

I've had the OEM rubber-ish mats and liked them. Then I took it in for a detail and was shorted one mat. Ford no longer sells rubber-ish mats for the Sport Trac. The sell them for the Explorer, but they don't have the retaining clip holes that match the clips in the Sport Trac.

I'm considering the WeatherTech for the heavy rainfall we get here in So. Ca.

Was told by WeatherTech that they don't offer their best mat for the Gen 2.

They make them for the 2007-2010 Explorer. Those should fit the Gen 2 Trac-the floor pan is the same.

The Husky mats look good, but dang- they are expensive! Also, the reviews at various sites are not very good for them- not nearly as good of reviews as for Ford and WeatherTech.

I pulled the trigger on the Ford OEM mats. Although I really wanted the WeatherTech mats because of the great service I have gotten from WeatherTech stuff for other vehicles, I started comparing the pictures of the WeatherTech and the Ford OEM mats. The Ford mats seem the be bigger and cover more area. Also, the Ford rear mats are specific for the Trac. The WeatherTech rears are universal "cut to fit", and have many scored lines for easy cutting. I figure that the scored lines will be weak places, and cause the mat to tear. Lastly, I found the Ford OEMs for $81 with free shipping, which is $40 cheaper than the WeatherTech available anywhere.

Have any links to the OEM mats you bought. I want a set of the WeatherTech liners but always heard that they only make them for the Explorer....not the Sport Trac. The Explorers would fit the ST but would be sloppy fir because the ST has rubber mats, not carpet?

I found them on Ebay, but the actual vendor that sold them is at the link below. Their listing on Ebay was cheaper than what they are asking on their website, though.
