Hugh,

Good one !! :bwahaha:

By the time Obama leaves office we will be over stimulated and broke!

Do not worry at 20 it will stop growing. The riots will start when the benefits can no longer be paid. Just after Obama leaves office. Right on cue, with the US wrecked.

You guys are lunatic fringe. Great recession=Previous administration.

Record debt. Also trending downward=Previous administration.

2 Wars =Previous administration

Party of NO says no to every job bill

Nothing since healthcare bill has been passed.

Reality =you are not living in it

Numbers?

Why does every single one of your posts have personal attacks?

How's that research on free trade coming along?

Ok girls...

Here are three "reality-based" charts. These charts show, in fact, what has actually happened. Click on each link and feel the FOX kool-aid drain from your bodies

Spending: https://www.flickr.com/photos/davecjohnson/14676483740

Government spending increased dramatically under Bush. It has not increased much under President Obama. This is just a fact.

Next are the Deficits: https://www.flickr.com/photos/davecjohnson/14676632427

Note that this chart starts with Clinton's last budget year for comparison.

The numbers in these two charts come from Budget of the United States Government: Historical Tables Fiscal Year 2015. They are just the amounts that the government spent and borrowed, period. Anyone can go look them up. People who claim that Obama "tripled the deficit" or increased it or anything of the sort are either misled (ignorant) or are trying to mislead. President Obama inherited a budget deficit of $1.4 trillion from President Bush's last budget year and annual budget deficits have gone down dramatically since.

Finally are the jobs numbers: https://www.flickr.com/photos/davecjohnson/14860706214

In this chart, the RED lines on the left side ? the ones that keep doing DOWN ? show what happened to jobs under the policies of Bush and your Republicans. We were bleeding jobs every month, and it was getting worse and worse. The BLUE lines ? the ones that go UP ? show what happened to jobs when the stimulus was in effect. We stopped losing jobs and started GAINING jobs, and it was getting better.

The leveling off on the right side of the chart shows what happened as the stimulus started to wind down: job creation leveled off at too low a level. Party of no.

It looks a lot like the stimulus reversed what was going on before the stimulus. We have gone from losing around 850,000 jobs a month to gaining over 200,000 jobs a month.

Hugh--Numbers.

Les---Reality

Try it sometime.

Francis, you need to understand the difference between debt, and deficit. When you do, let us know. Clueless is your middle name. Gaining over 200,000 jobs per month, you actually believe this is remarkable? Shows you're ignorance.

Never said anything was remarkable Les.

I was simply showing the people on this post who were slamming President O. that they are completely uninformed.

Now I just showed that you are too.

:banghead:

Frank,

You and Obama cannot continue to blame everything on Bush !! The only reason that Obama has not spent more is because Congress won't let him. If Democrats were the majority in Congress, Obama would have probably out spent Bush in the the first year in office !!!

Congress forced Obama to cut spending if he wanted to get approval for his ObamaCare fiasco, and even now he has not come through with all the spending cuts he promised. He also lied to get ObamaCare approved when he said "If you like your current Doctor or HealthPlan, You can keep it" !! BIG LIE !

...Rich

The debt is not trending downward. The growth of deficit is slowing. Big difference. Is Obama to get credit for that or is the obstruction by Republicans the reason? Pay particular attention to the deficit from '08-'11. Any clue what changed in 2011?

Deficit:

Bush's horrible record on spending and entering wars does not excuse Obama in any way.

We were losing jobs because of bubbles created in the 80s and 90s, not two wars.

Obama sure likes the precedent set by Bush, though. Guantanamo, bombing Iraq, spying on citizens, expanding government in nearly every aspect...what's the difference?

The argument that "At least Barry isn't as bad as George" is akin to allowing your younger son to get C-'s in school because your older son got D+'s.
