BUT,,, I HAVE AN 8 INCH CRACK IN ROSE'S WINDSHIELD. The car is only 8 weeks old! THIS SUCKS! WHY? WHY? WHY?:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Yea,, my insurance is taking acre of it, but da:banghead:ng,,,,NEW CAR! Rose just called and the crack has gotten bigger and it is just sitting in the parking lot.

LaRue,

It happened to my 2002 Toyota Highlander. I owned it for several years and one day a crack showed up at the bottom left corner of the windshield about 3 inches from the A pillar. Over the next few days it grew and turned towards the drivers side A pillar and stopped, about half way up the windshield..

It never blocked the drivers view and passed inspection every year since then.

I don't know what caused it, and I don't recall getting hit by a stone, etc?

I do know that it is critical to get the windshield bedded and sealed properly when installed and I suspect that these random windshield cracks are caused by improper installation, but proving it can be all but impossible.
