Wheel hubs

Hi All,



As always thanks for the great info on this site from all. I have saved a bundle over the years by being able to DIY projects. My latest project needs to be the replacement of the wheel hub assembly for the front of the 2wd ST. My question is why are there TONS of deals on 4wd assemblies, but 2wd assemblies are 200$ a pop from places like Napa? May seem silly but are these parts interchangeable? 4wd hub assembly on a 2wd st?? Thanks in advance, I appreciate any info..

there are no front wheel hubs on a 2WD, they are rotors with bearing races and cage bearings. the $200 bux gets you new rotors.. If your rotors are ok, I would just repack what you have. If they are noisy, they could just be loose, or w/o grease. look for discoloration on the race in the rotor.

Brian, I have the spindle nut kits if you want them. They are not expensive but I would hate to waste them. Pic in my library. I was planning on replacing the bearings and never got to it.
