Barry is acting very indignant over the democratically controlled Senate vote. Although they had more yeahs than nays they failed to get the 60 necessary votes for passage. Even if they manipulate another round and manage to get something through the Senate they will have a much harder time with the House. My prediction is that this will then be a major issue in the 2014 House elections and the dems will use this to win back control there as well. We will be in deeper doo doo than we are now if that happens and it will involve way more than just gun control. Anyone with their head screwed on straight knows that what they are trying to push through the Congress now has nothing to do with keeping guns out of the hands of criminals or anyone who wants to use a gun illegally. Those people will get a gun one way or another and it doesn't matter how many laws anyone passes. There are bigger issues at play here. Barry is just using the tragedy at Sandy Hook to achieve a much bigger goal. If he manages to make life more miserable for those who own and use firearms legally that will just be icing on the cake. This is Chicago politics at their finest. Disgusting.

If I recall, we didn't have these mass-shootings or slashings before God was refused entry to our schools and other public buildings ( the ten commandments and prayer)

Yes, I also agree that Obama is very "Manipulative". Of course he blames the Republicans and Congress whenever he does not get his way, but his Gun Control bill failed in the Democratic controlled Senate.

The first school shooting recorded in the USA happened in 1760 and hundreds were recorded up to 1980. I graduated in 1977, and we had "prayer" so I assume that your "God not granted permission" statement would count anything beyond that.



If you want to blame any deity, blame Bill Gates and Steve Jobs for creating the devices that let us hear about everything in almost real time.

Wither it was God or Bill Gates, I feel fortunate to have grown up in the late 50's and early 60's. We roamed, played, and attended large events without any thought or fear of harm.

I think the media plays a huge roll in these mass shootings/tragedies. Most of these shooters want to commit suicide, but know they?ll live on and be forever known as the person that did these things. If the media would stop going on and on about these things, it may curtail some of these from happening in the first place.



I grew up in the 80's in North Minneapolis and my dad was a hunter. He had guns that were accesible to me, but I knew through gun safety and what my dad told me about guns to know that they were not a toy and were dangerous if used improperly. The other thing that would help limit these tragedies is for parents to become parents again.

It wouldn't hurt either if our liberal court system would actually punish criminals and enforce the laws we already have.

This display by the President et al and the theatrics in the Senate were nothing more than political grandstanding to give the appearance of doing "something" in the wake of a terrible tragedy. But there was absolutely NOTHING in any of the proposed gun legislation that would've prevented the tragedies in Newtown, Colorado, Virgina Tech, etc. The bill and its amendments were about nothing more than making it more difficult for law-abiding Americans to buy a gun. Instead of passing ever more restrictive, costly legislation, how about enforcing the laws currently on the books at the Federal, State, and Local levels?



As for the bull-squeeze displays of anger, tears, and scowls from Barry, DiFi, Biden, etc: It would've been nice to see those kinds of displays of GENUINE anger in response to the attacks on and murders of Americans in Benghazi and Boston, or say, the massive amount of murders and gun-related crime in his "hometown" of Chicago-which already has some of the strictest gun laws in the country.



The only thing Obama's probably really angry about is that yesterday's vote threw a wrench in his/the Democrats' plans: I'm sure he/they were counting on the gun bill passing the Senate, knowing that it would be dead on arrival in the House; and then they could use that failure in the House as leverage (along with their propagandists in the media) to retake the House in 2014.



Yesterday's vote in the Senate may not have completely neutered Obama politically, but with all of the effort he, Biden, and their minions put into it, it WAS a serious kick in the nuts to his political cred.

All I know is I have no desire to be French and that is exactly where we are headed under this character. A country full of socialist, nutless, helpless cowards.

Politically correct BS sucks. I sold off some 1950's Fanner 50 cap guns I had on Ebay and you have to put an orange plug in the barrel and state that the cap gun cannot be made to fire real bullets( I did use MS paint to add little orange graphics to the photo to throw the Ebay gestapo off track...LOL!). What a panzy azz country we are becoming!
