    Rear wheel Lugs

Ok thx for the response Vic, but I saw that video. Since the sport trac has rear disc with an internal drum for the e brake and a large splash shield I cant just reach behind the hub to insert the new lug. That is the question , how to reinsert the new lug. Do you need to pull out the axle to...

    Rear wheel Lugs

Thanks Todd, I didn't notice a hole anywhere but will check again. BTW did you mean the brake caliper and pads or the emergency brake shoes? I love this sight

    Rear wheel Lugs

Found a broken lug on a rear tire of my 03 sport trac. Is there a trick to replacing the PIA part? I have removed the broken piece from the hub but cannot find a way to insert the new one. Any help would be appreciated as the truck is on blocks as I am typing this.

    Damn Snow

We had our first big snow of the year. My trac and I were enjoying it until I pulled out of a snow covered parking lot onto a clear street while in 4 High. Heard 2 loud thumps which I hoped was just the driveline binding because I was on a dry surface but I now have a metalic rattle coming from...

    Exp Sport rim usability

I have a 2003 Adrenalin ST. I saw a post here that alot of explorer sport parts cross over to Sts. I was wondering if this included rims? And if so, what year would be compatible? Thanks in advance for any responses, this site rocks.

rear brake calipers, 2 types whats the difference?

Much appreciated Jerry, I again wonder at why motor companies feel the need to supply 2 or more parts for a model year. I seen 7 different driver side mirrors available for the drivers side door of a GM car. Maybe we could have gotten these great gas misering v-8's before the crash and bail if...

rear brake calipers, 2 types whats the difference?

I am replacing the rear disc brake pads on my 2003 ST Adrenaline. The Auto Pro rep tells me that there are 2 diferent sets of pads because I can have 1 of 2 different types of caliper. 1) steel or 2) Red plastic or something (he was a little tought to understand). I have purchased both but am...

    Stellar brotherhood in this place

I just wanted to send a shout out to l1 tech for his help with my electrical issues. He pointed me in the direction I needed, I found a broken wire and no broken components. I know I had better things to do with my day off so I am sure he had better things to do with part of his day. My hat is...

##$G?>>>@&*** I hate chasing electrical wires under the dash

OK it is finally fixed. For anyone interested the 6 wire connection block that slides into the brake pedal position switch has a small red bar that holds the the wires in the connector securely. You need to slide it out and then move the small tab that holds the wire fitting in place inside the...

##$G?>>>@&*** I hate chasing electrical wires under the dash

Thanks for the direction. I took the wiring connection off the back of the brake switch to check the voltages and the wire (red/green) coming off the switch was broken right at the base of the fittiing that holds the wire in the connector. The guy who installed the remote start must have pulled...

##$G?>>>@&*** I hate chasing electrical wires under the dash

Well ok, I have now had a little break and am a little calmer. I should also note that I have done the systematic test set out by haynes, with key at lock position the gear shift does not move brake or not, with key in off gear shift moves with or without brakes. with key in on position and...
