I just changed the oil and used 10W-40 in an attempt to quiet the rattle. It works! I can't hear a rattle at all now. I know it's just masking the problem but since I can't fix it right now, I figure that's better than nothing.

Well, I tried to replace the right rear spring/hydraulic tensioner. Boy, was that a mistake. My truck immediately went from having a little timing chain noise to sounding terrible. I put the original tensioner back in but it still sounds the same. So, realistically, how long can I drive it...
