Silver Frost 4x4 loaded...every option. Leather, Sunroof, 6 CD changer, A.R.E Z-series canopy
Purchased: December 2000
Additions: Front End Nose Mask. ARE Z-Series Canopy, Ford Bed Mat.
Usage: Dive vehicle, Transportation.
Problems:
Annoying Rattle in the Right Rear of the passenger Compartment - Turned out to be a TSB on the mounting bolts - fixed (for the 5th time)
Front Brakes Squeaking (fixed by dealer - 3rd set of pads and ANOTHER rotor turn),
Check Engine Light (fixed by dealer) - DPFE Sensor
Latest issue: "sticky" oil pressure gauge - need to replace sending unit.
01/10 - Horns do not function. Replaced both horns. Next up...relay (I tend to go the expensive route first).
Broken RH foglight. Replaced entire assembly with NOS unit.
7/05 (50,021 miles) - Rear end rebuild - New Carrier (and bearing/race set) New ring/pinion, new end gears (aka spider gears), new pinion bearings/races, new axle bearings. $1600. Thank you Bill Ford! Quality is a blow job.
5/3/06 (56,032 miles) - Rear sliding window motor failed. Replaced for a mere $368.00 (plus tax).
