Sounds like the channel is binding causing more friction then the safety feature requires to revert the direction..
did you try to pull the window up while it is going up? to see if it will work. or even lub the channels the window slides in.
those 2 cross bars wont work on the Gen 1 Sport Trac.. they slide in a grove on the inside of the rails.. .
you need to get ones that look like this..
not sure about what the Gen 2 uses.
I got the camera that was made for my unit.
and I installed it behind the plate. and modified the bumper a bit and the plate.

and got it mounted to an XMOD RC chassis. and cleaned off all the decals

But here in Europe, there is a DTRL law also.. but alot with projector beam lights.. use a angle eye or strip of LED lights for the daytime lights.. and then the projectors only turn on when you turn the lights on..

when you talk or email him about the tune for your Sport Trac.. make sure you tell him what your doing..
he will customize the tunes for you.. usually hold 3 tunes..
you can do with and with out towing.. and then maybe a performance one on higher octane.
if you do ship.. remove the plastic ends.
they will break in shipping..
also Greyhound bus also does shipping odd sized items.. price is usually pretty good.

you are going to love it.
it does wonders when tuned in.. but if you keep putting your foot in it.. and really enjoy.. it will use a bit more fuel..
